Photographer - Filmmaker - Writer/Director
Douglas Morrione (B.A., Colby College, M.A., The New School for Social Research) is an award-winning filmmaker, director, and photographer.
Doug served on the faculty of media studies programs in Manhattan — particularly courses in editing for film and documentary production at The New School for Social Research and advising curriculum at NYU.
After decades in NYC in film and TV and now based in Dubai, Doug's photography work covers The DP World Tour, Dubai Horse Racing, Asia Rugby, Dubai Marathon, and others.
When he's not working as a photographer, he runs his production company, Route 201 Media LLC. This work has been broadcast internationally on major networks, including HBO, ESPN, NBC, and PBS, and his films, including the award-winning Everything in the Song is True, and Fairways to Happiness, are in worldwide distribution.
Doug moved from New York to Dubai with his wife in 2014 and soon welcomed his daughters, both born in the UAE. His work in the MENA region has included collaborations with the DP World Tour, Dubai Racing, Falcon and Associates, Dubai Golf, The Brain and Performance Center, MEED (Middle East Economic Digest), Abu Dhabi Executive Office, and the Saudi Red Sea Global initiative, among other clients in the public and private sector.
